They’re laying off because Zuck is a horrible leader. He went all-in on metaverse that didn’t work out. They could’ve done so much more in AI/ML space with all the resources they had. Now they’re experiencing brain drain and no one wan

NYC commercial plumbers make a lot of money and it is also one of the hardest jobs (apprenticeship) to get in the world.

If you start out early enough, you can be retired from law enforcement with pension earlier than you think (typically 20 years) which is actually a perfect time for you to go get a law degree.

Being a plumber, for example, is far more lucrative for most people. Military, police, then lawyer route is also very lucrative.

So when US helps it’s all for our benefit? Since you are conflating simple facts, and you think it’s so enterprising to fund military spend in Ukraine, why don’t you lots in EU fund that as well? Seems brilliant really. Let me be clear, NAT

Inflation is alway a monetary phenomenon. They caused this episode of inflation. All of those people at Fed should resign.

People will point to duration mismatch but Fed raised too fast without proper warnings.

I don’t think everyone wants to ride around in bikes. I really don’t like the idea of forcing municipalities to spend tax dollars retrofitting cities for bikes. It’s quite literally ripping apart the streets to satisfy 5-10% of the populati

Meanwhile some mainland Chinese 18yo drops in with a bag full of cash to buy a place outright. Something is very wrong with that picture for Americans.

Rates are still well below what we had leading up to the dotcom bust. And corporate leverage is still conservative. It’s a very similar backdrop with AI leading the narrative this time around.

Do you know how many people cheated on the SAT in test centers across Asia? If you knew, you’d not say this. It’s only discriminatory against Asian AMERICANS.

EUR is all but finished. Chinese RMB is also set for significant depreciation as a direct result of international trade/manufacturing “rebalance” away from everything-made-in-China model. Only thing remaining is USD.

Why would USD dominance diminish? Something like 90% of IP is based out of the US. Chinese education system is a complete joke (as evidence by brain drain).

Public schools = public goods. That’s all goodwill built over decades in many communities. Why are we just giving that away for free to people with interests against the US? Nope.

I am just curious why we are allowing foreigners to buy homes in the US when we have a housing crisis. Here in New England, Chinese/Russians came in and started buying homes in the past two decades. Not only that, we end up educating t

You said 99% of the churches do charitable work. I highly doubt that’s 99% of budget. I am sure most of it is used for operations. Just because I make donations every year, doesn’t make me a charity organization.

I would go one step further and say that donations to religious organizations should not be tax deductible. They are not charities in 99% of the cases.

This is like saying Ron Wayne should run the freaking Mac division because he was there first. She’s just not that smart. She only got around on her dad’s legacy prior to Google. She added zero value to Youtube.

She quite literally got this far because of family. Geez I wonder why Youtube remains one of the most underperforming media assets. Edit: SV is full of nepotism.
