RTX 3090/3080 are great value for ML/DL especially at used prices.

I really wish they add direct connect either optical or USB. I also don’t think Apple realizes they could absolutely sell a crap ton of Mac Minis to audiophiles/HiFi crowd. They just need to add custom DAC and some outputs.

A bit off topic but, the power of GPT (and DL in general) is in the data. Yet, we’ve allowed private enterprises to control what should be distinctly public goods. I don’t know where we took the wrong turn within the past decade but we desp

I am pretty sure it will be released in March along with Mac Pro which will undoubtedly be one of the headline releases. I am going to wait and pick up an M2 Max Studio.

That’s very interesting info I didn’t realize. Makes me want to wait for M2 refresh of the Studio.

Plus I’d assume the M1 Studios will now get discounted in preparation for M2 refresh in March.

Isn’t it $300 difference at 32GB RAM?

Why get the M2 Pro Mini when you can just opt for Mac Studio with M1 Max? They're roughly in the same price bracket.

I was just using this a few weeks ago to change my files for a new camera. This is absolutely an underrated tool!

A bit OT but this really goes to show how MSFT managed to fail their way to win again. They produced crap products for a decade while Balmer ran the company. They were able to do that because they had a monopoly. MSFT completely transformed

It’s been more than a decade and it’s still not that cheap to short crypto. I am 100% convinced that’s by design. If you think equity is rigged, crypto is a complete circus. I rather not deal with it even if money can be made. It’s going to

Game devs changing rapidly right now due to UE and Unity. It’s getting crowded and you need VFX expertise. And to be honest, VFX takes a lot of talent and very much labor of love. You’re much better off specializing in backend stuff for gam

I’ve done a few models on my own. Stephen Fry is a relative easy one. This is from 2020 so I am sure state of the art is far better now.

I think you’re underestimating state of the art in this area. You can do amazing things with just a few minutes of readings.

I am surprised it’s taking so long for big tech companies to roll this out. I suppose there’s too much money in audiobooks? Perhaps licensing issues? If anyone can get a “celebrity reads aloud” feature that would be Apple and that could be

Does Tobi even work these days? Sometimes I think he prioritizes playing video games over running a multibillion dollar company. It’s frustrating because Shopify could have been much bigger as a result of the pandemic if they had someone wi

Elon Musk is quite literally destroying the platform all on his own. Utter waste of $44B. Once there's a critical mass of news outlets on a competing platform, that will be the end of Twitter in my opinion. In fact, I think it makes a

Exactly and you know they have an internal version of it so all this talk of hardware feasibility is BS. iPad Pros are Macbook Airs with 8/16GB of RAM. It’s all SoC.
