Grades are arbitrary. Plenty of kids start a year late sometimes on purpose by parents to give them a leg up. Particularly for grades 8-12, in school education is vital. You seem very concerned about the economy.

They should really consider repeating grades for kids. The pandemic is robbing the kids of proper education. I suppose this is too late.

I think you’re mainly focusing on macro and it’s not completely unwarranted. That said, micro stuff is fascinating to say the least, and very pertinent to data science. In fact, much of “data science” projects until 2012-13ish were handled

Thinking back as a math major who took a couple of exams, it’s an utterly outdated and dying career path. And it boggles my mind why they kept recommending such a narrow path to math majors.

US fed the beast that is CCP and now the beast can’t be controlled. Do you fault the beast or the idiot who miscalculated and kept feeding the beast?

I really think Wolfram missed a huge opportunity in mid 2000’s. They basically had the best interactive programming experience by far. Mathematica should/could have been an essential tool for all data scientists. I still prefer Mathema

You are assuming everyone can get out at the same time at price X. That’s not going to happen. Generally in crashes/drawdowns, 2/3 will see 1/3 of the price in liquidation.

This is not material in my view in the sense that it was going to get blocked by EU. And to be perfectly honest, it’s really not Nvidia’s fault that ARM sold out to Softbank, a known player with hard investment return mandates. I am sure Ap

I recently opted for Sony Google TV because at least I can trace where my stuff is going with Google. Also it’s hard to find a capable 4K120Hz devices so you’re pretty much stuck with in-device apps to get the best quality.

Your job is “super stressful and emotionally taxing?” Why do Wall Streeters always grossly overestimate their jobs? Managing money is really not that hard especially in the past 10 years. Even monkeys can do it.

I think of it as my own RAM. Search used to be quite slow and you had to have knowledge stored in your RAM to be proficient. Memory was valued but you also had to deal with human limitations. Fast forward to today and search can be done qui

This is not well researched and written. There are many cheap EC keyboards out there. The price premium is due to cult following that predates the recent trend in mechanical keyboards.

AMD software support is pretty bad for a company of its size. They’re trying to do the minimum. It’s almost as if they don’t want to compete with Nvidia due to collusion.
