I can confidently tell you that what you put here won't work. Try it.

Nope. Not the same thing. Again, I want them to be in the same binary. Like the example I gave you, have the user input a port number *at runtime*, then use that port to start an asp.net service. That's just an example. The point is mi

Huh? I don't think you read what I'm saying. Here's a simple challenge for you. Create a command line app (your csproj file should say Sdk="Microsoft.NET.Sdk"), ask the user to input a port number at runtime. Use t

I have the same experience as the parent comment. For example, I wanted to have a process that runs both the asp.net service, a background discord bot, and another asp.net service. On any other platform, it's just a good old "cons

I don't think the original comment meant long polling (i.e. keeping the connection alive), they meant periodically call the endpoint to check for events.

Not an argument per-se, but there were cases where I had to manually build raw query parameter-values when using the `IN(v1, v2, v3)` operation. Many libraries still do not support passing in a list parameter as of 2021, even newer ones. Fo

Even if they don't just "turn off", why would I want to invest in a cloud platform that only staff enough to keep the lights on, while there are cloud platforms out there that continue to provide new features to make my devel

At the bare metal layer, most booleans are actually transported around as `int` (or WORD size), so there's no real performance benefit to compressing things down to one bit, other than if you really need to save 7 bits in physical stor

If I read it correctly, what you just quoted is within the context of the <ruby> element.

I looked through the bug report and couldn't find the specification you're referencing. Do you have a link to it by any chance?

You got it backward. The custom CSS of the website is overriding the system styles in this case. Let's take font-family for example. Just because you're setting the font for your input[text] tags doesn't mean the browser will

Your website CSS is inheriting the system default CSS in a sense. If you're going to override one color, you should also override the other--or override neither.

The dark mode is actually coming from the GNOME system colors, not browser plugin. From inspecting the CSS in the developer console, the cases in the screenshot either set the background color without setting the text color, or vice versa.

What does rendering HTML or needing a HTTP client have to do with Electron? As far as I know, every single usable language comes with a HTTP client, and every single GUI framework has a "WebView" control or equivalent.
