How does a mechanical dryer handle wrinkle-free mode, where the dryer runs for one minute every ten to avoid letting wrinkles settle? Or handle a mode where the heat is on high for 15 minutes to evaporate water, and then switches to low or

The problem is that new features and improvements are not forthcoming, and when software is closed source it is impossible to take business elsewhere if the copyright holder loses interest.

It cuts both ways. Google smothered Urchin and pissed off customers, but they brought GA to a much wider audience and integrated with the rest of Google system. Similar for Writely and Grand Central and many more I would bet. It would be re

Is Jeltsin the same as Yeltsin? Was he in the same league as the other two? He seemed OK from the news I read, not much worse than, say, Reagan, in terms of leadership and mental stability.

Thing is, share dilution is not much different from giving an employee or vendor a huge pile of money in exchange for labor that turns out not to generate much revenue. It is bad for business (and will be reflected in a share value drop), b

The proper technique is ridiculously subtle. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1630 That support article is a spiritual ancestor of the Antennagate defense press event.

But the blingy solution breaks anyway, and is also ugly, beyond being dangerous. Parent's point was that if we assume Apple is optimizing for showroom appearance, better to put the bling over the function bits and let the going break after

It is a 15-minute video. That leaves approximately 99.995% of a viewer's life free to dig a little deeper into the subject matter. The quality contest is not Khan vs a Ph.D program in history, it is Khan vs Insane Clown Posse. Khan wins.

Then you can make your own better video and YouTube or Khan itself will host if for free and show that what you were afraid of is not actually possible and the social networking analogy does not hold up under cursory analysis.

Salespeople are marginal costs, not fixed costs, and that is why they do not scale. (Unless those salespeople are converting prospects into long-term renewal sales) Engineering and design is a fixed cost.

Perhaps you should set out to prove or disprove that conjecture, instead of writing an uninteresting post that is just senseless symbol manipulation linked to the base-26 representation of English.
