The economy is not a fixed pie that you can just take slices from one sector and give them to another. Financial services provide liquidity that supports every other sector; getting rid of them would cause contraction in every other sector.

Yeah, I was thinking that too, but I’m not sure how the law works. They might only not say it’s only those reasons as a CYA. And I wouldn’t be surprised if other recording was otherwise illegal without explicit consent, especially for minor

I think it's unfortunate that the term "capitalism" has been captured by the left to mean the bad kind of capitalism, where regulation is only used as a moat for the established players. Capitalism as a whole is the least bad
