For bugs inside my home I just vacuum them up with a hand vacuum that doesn't kill them, open it up outside and they fly away. My personal concern is with invasive bugs outside. I wish to kill them solely for the ecological benefits.

I am hoping to get this community's ideas on the most humane way to kill bugs. In particular, I have invasive Japanese beetles in my garden that I was first freezing, then I started crushing as quickly and thoroughly as possible. I wor

Wow, a brand new technology is less efficient than a process that has been refined for thousands of years?! Unbelievable!

I remember in my high (private, religious) school social justice class talking about this. The teacher's contention was that this was a form of patriarchy: that boys were held to higher standards because more was expected of them. I wi

Yes, the world's biodiversity will be fine after an extinction event. Eventually . I don't want humanity to have to live through a million years of the aftermath of one though.

I have long been interested in permaculture, but I have recently been coming around to your point of view. People give modern farmers a lot of crap, but overall they are very interested in taking care of their land, and using as few ferti

To be fair, the person you're responding to didn't use the word "theft" which you're quoting. That came from someone who replied to them.
