"Or projects that make it easier to use AI" I get the sentiment, but this is natural with a groundbraking new technology. We are still in the process of figuring out how to best apply generative LLM's in a productive way. Lot

I missed that, but then it is still not correct to say 44% support the invasion. In a very different framework (clear plan, cooperation with iranian opposition, working exile government, transition plan ..) I also can see myself supporting

The source seems bad, for some reasons they added the 10% of "unsure" to "supports". "the new survey found 56% of Americans oppose U.S. military action in Iran, while 44% support it." But later: "A majorit

To me it started with the war in Iraq. Made up story as excuse, expensive disaster as a result. (Afghanistan was already not great, the Taliban were open to extradict Bin Laden, they just demanded proof first, but it was still sort of a in

"The big negative that LLMs have in comparison with junior engineers is that they can't learn and internalise new information based on feedback." No, but they can take "notes" and can load those notes into context.

I believe it is good to learn to be on your own for a while, it helps you figure out what you really want for yourself, but most humans are social being so don't try to accept it as the new normal as this is clearly not what you want.

ChatGPT had a time for me, where it refused to do anything bigger than a few lines of code, because "too complex". But step by step it did it then anyway. (No idea about the current state, since I switched to claude)

Option 3: the global wars increase and continue to be the new normal with shipping routes disturbed until the climax, china annexes Taiwan. In that case prices will continue to rise (among other things).

What exact model are you using? I have a 16GB GPU as well, but have never run a local model so far. According to the table in the article, 9B and 8-bit -> 13 GB and 27B and 3-bit seem to fit inside the memory. Or is there more space requ

Couple of reasons, but mainly speed and avaiability. I can give Claude a job anytime and it will do it immediately. And yes, I will have to double check anything important, but I am way better and faster at checking, than doing it myself. S

Not completely. I know some french musicians who are great artists, but are not mainstream enough to sell enough records - and they do get state money to continue their art (progressive/psychedelic music, nothing tame).

Same for me (even though I am a bit younger). I burned out a couple of times and assumed I will never finish so many sideprojects I have lying around. Now I can just feed them into claude and guide it to completion. It feels great. And yes,

The world has become so strange. In my pirate youth, I would have never imagined the big companies to argue in courts like this, basically pro piracy. And the activists are now against it, because the big guys are doing it.

The most succesful open source projects (firefox, blender, linux, krita,..) do not have libre in their name, the most famous of those who have is probably libreoffice, but it is not exactly loved. So I totally agree on rather having a name
