Would you rather train text-to-speech technology based on conversations your television eavesdropped on, or with a collaboratively-built open database of voluntarily submitted content? This is the perfect exit for precisely the problem you&

I don't know what you want this for exactly, so definitely don't use my suggestion for crypto purposes. However... If what you want is just to add some uniform, seemingly random behavior to something (e.g. a game, generate some no

Probably the fact that S3 is eventually consistent and IO is not immediately visible to other clients? I'd suggest that OP use something like https://aws.amazon.com/fsx/lustre/ if they really need to mount S3

Not aware of benchmarks, but specification-wise I consider HTTP2 to be a regression. Sure there are good things about it, and many great enhancements, but the larger mechanic of the protocol (the most important part really) has been signifi

Just trying it out right now and it already feels like they shot themselves in the foot by forking away from iOS. iOS13 had for the past two weeks fixed one of the biggest annoyances in Apple's horrible keyboard UX: For people like me

Is AVX512 really an advantage though? Intel is infamous for severely downclocking the processor for these and other AVX/SSE family instructions, to a point where sometimes using them makes the program slower than it would be otherwise,

Nobody said the downsides were over HTTP. When talking about state sponsored espionage, the glaring downside of HTTPS is PKI and buying into the CA model.

I would strongly advise against this. For a long time, the only reason ElasticSearch was not the ugly duckling of distributed systems was because MongoDB existed. It does not have a good history at all. There was a time that Elastic even cl

The missing answer in there is how to avoid PGP/GnuPG for commit signing. I've asked about this in another similar thread[0] but didn't get a hopeful answer. Everytime I look at git's documentation GPG seems very entrenc
