After 10 years fullstack I moved into WordPress. The code I deal with is a mess but to be honest so was everything else I've ever been paid to work on. WordPress is stable and maintains backward compat for as long as possible. It'

Those are likely some really solid applications as a result. In my experience redux just enables developers to sprinkle global state everywhere which makes tests a pain to write and code hard to debug.

Google rug pulled angular, I know at least one very large company that pulled all Google tech from their stack over angular 1 -> 2. React really isn't the thing people have decided is the optimal solution, jsx and keeping presentati

React is a library that should have been a framework. Literally everyone has to cobble some n-factor framework together and given the amount of inexperience out there, what results is a damn nightmare. React solving the state problem native

I suspect USBA isn't going away, it's far more robust than USBC, what I suspect will happen is devices that need smaller sockets will use USBC and everything else will stick with USBA. There is a reason I have one USBC port on my

It's not denialism.. he's referring to Linux when he means to refer to specific software. You can try and compare apple to Linux like that if you want but it's like complaining it's apples fault for docker on Mac sucking

Whataboutism and condescension, nice. I watched the discussion, people were obviously distracted and upset. Reading a 5 minute email wasn't the issue, the fallout was. Random recruiters aren't causing confusion many wide outrage a

We're also still reeling from the smartscan debacle. The thing that pissed me off the most is when they emailed some unsolicited BLM propoganda out to every one of our employees.

Maybe 2-3 years ago. Pretty sure it was IP based. CF drops you on a shared IP, its hit and miss of you end up on an IP next to a bunch of dodgy sites or not, do a reverse IP lookup to find out what else is running on your IP. > It would

Get a ThinkPad and install fedora. Read the arch wiki if you run into problems with specific software. You'll barely notice the change tbh, gnome is really good these days especially on a standard fedora workstation release. ThinkPads

My wife uses fedora frequently and barely notices the difference between her Mac these days, most stuff is through chrome anyway. I use arch on my workstation / laptops for various reasons. For homelab boxes and the htpc I use fedora,

Awful title. They're saying stimulus money must be used to secure out of state hires because they don't have enough nurses in state. Hiring from the existing pool doesn't create a net improvement on the total nurses in state

This isn't even remotely going to solve the supply chain problems. Didn't everyone just quit? And they want to go 24/7? With no experience running 24/7? Good luck with that Brandon.
