IMO this all has to do with tradition. "Happy Holidays" was a phrase that received substantial amounts of negative press because people got upset when they were told they could no longer say "Christmas". Only in the last couple decades have

Don't get me wrong, I dislike Dell's hardware and sales tactics. I do however understand why the new Ubuntu laptop would cost more. Dell has affiliates that get to install their software on your new pretty machine, and they pay for that a

In my opinion, it all goes back to your tool belt. If you only have a hammer, you can only hammer nails. You can use a hammer to cut wood if you beat the wood with the claw long and hard enough, but you would be much better off if you had

Microsoft is just doing what is profitable. I cannot blame them for this. Apple has already proven that this model works quite well. I HIGHLY doubt Microsoft will completely abandon the desktop experience in Windows 9. I also doubt that A

I keep seeing articles about Computer Science being a boy's club with a "No Girls Allowed" sign out front. I have not seen this. My experience was that Computer Science was filled at my College with introverted guys that played video game

I really enjoyed this article because it explains why it is so hard for me to consider leaving my home state of Arkansas. The cost of living is very nice here and with a developer salary, one can live very well.

I do not currently have a fan page on Facebook, but if I did, I would have assumed that people who liked my page would receive my posts in their news feed. It seems odd to me that Facebook is allowing you to build a fan base while promotin

This is my first blog post. Short and sweet, but I believe it conveys a powerful message. I plan on future posts to be more substance based, but I just wanted to rant for a minute about a problem that I see far too often. Thanks for readin

I was going to read this article, but since I'm using an iPhone and your article isn't responsive.... I didn't read it. Responsive is about capturing your audience. This article is the perfect example of why you should do responsive.

In my experience, the degree has not been a factor at all when it comes to value in industry. I have seen people that didn't have a degree produce more maintainable code in a more productive manner. I also have seen coworkers with bachelor

I agree that it makes perfect sense for Mayer to go on a buying spree. I am very happy that Yahoo is finally getting out of it's rut. It is pretty crazy to see Yahoo disband it's R&D and then spring this far in the other direction.

Next, the government will start to put into place laws that force retailers to display information about the fees to consumers. I'm all for fixing this old system, but I agree with the poster that this will have far reaching implications.

These benchmarks are not surprising. The UI however is the biggest turn-on. Chrome for iOS was very well done even though it is NOT Chrome.

I am very excited to see mobileFwd getting some media coverage because they really have created a pretty awesome game. I also love to see more tech coming out of Arkansas. I have bought trivi.al and it is a ton of fun.

I really wish all Arkansas tech were in the same area. If the scene in Conway/LR area combined with the scene in NW Arkansas, we could have a pretty nice community. I am actively searching for a good tech scene.
