The expressive power of a language is definitely based on what's in the standard library. If the C standard library came with default dictionaries and other common data structures (while still allowing you to build your own) it would

I think being opinionated about which tools to use is fine, as long as it's clear that it's an opinion. I'd add my praise to what other's have said. One thing that strikes me is that installing python might be difficult

Edit: There is the argument that this bill is a step in the right direction. The problem is that too often, steps in the right direction are the last step taken, and then people treat the problem as solved. I think there is something to b

One of the main problems for books, and particularly technical books, is breaking out and getting word of mouth, not avoiding piracy. There are a lot of technical books out there, and a limited amount of time to find the good ones. Free co

The weird thing is, many if not all of the arguments apply to C with structures, unions, and function pointers... and I don't know that consider that properly object oriented.

I'd start by actually talking to the people facing the issues. Talking to users is important for product development; I think this is similar to that.

How do you define merit then? It may never be possible to eliminate all the disadvantages, but moving towards equality in outcome is still worthwhile. Like a blind person can't be made to see, but screen reading software and braille te

Consult your local lawyer, which I am not. That said, see The Supreme Court case https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_Steelworkers_v._Weber It lays out requirements for a legal quota system.

A quick glance suggests this seems a little more flexible then doxygen or cweb in terms of what you can annotate, but it seems like it could have been built to expand on doxygen/javadoc syntax, whereas this looks like it reinvents the
