I am managing software development teams in small startups and big companies in the Valley for more than 10 years now. I've probably had several hundreds of interviews, looked at thousands of resumes and hired a couple hundred people d

Interesting. Google is going to directly compete with GoDaddy which is about to have IPO. Curious to see the impact on the GoDaddy's price.

This is just a sensational article. The fact that the total number of accidents increases with the number of drones flying is hardly surprising. There are standard ways to measure flight safety, for example the number of incidents per 100,0

The most important thing that every software developer needs to know about security is just remember that "bad" guys are out there. I've seen many cases when people make bad security decision simply assuming that it is just f

3. Promo codes is good but you need to think about a way to store them and locate quickly. May be an app that you can get people to install? Though it would require some integration with offline store regiesters which might be non-trivial

Any of the ideas can be funded and you need to figure out what would make it stand out from the crowd and what value your product would bring to your users (you know the story how Google was funded - the VCs simply liked the product). 1. To

If I recall correctly, the Lerner’s email loss was explained by the crash of her computer. Thus, we are having a strange series of 7 computer crashes for employees involved in the scandal: "He ran in to my knife! He ran into my knife

I read the original report and I don't feel it is objective. First, there are a lot of benchmarks about patient communication. While it is important, it is not necessarily the only way to deliver information. For example, while my kids

MAC address is used in APR protocol and it doesn't go beyond your router/WAP/DHCP server. The only thing that an "external" server sees is the IP address.

Sure. Having different IPs definitely helps (this was my original question if IPs will be different or not). The login to Comcast by itself doesn't help.

Not sure how this would help. The server will only see IP address. The Comcast will know that a given set of users had the session open on the hotspot. But unless the hotspot sends detailed information about every packet to Comcast with s
