Emphasis on 8. If you are writing code that directly controls hardware, then your software is the abstraction. Hardware is physical and can be quirky. Signals take real clock time to settle down and your CPU is probably much faster than t

Re: Trust; I always found it a bit ironic back in the late 90’s/early 00’s that people would not trust ordering things over the Internet, but happily call a mail-order number and give a complete stranger (and anyone within earshot) the

Matrices are mathematical batch processing. The expressiveness and power you get from being able to cast and solve problems in matrix form is similar to the lightbulb that pops up when one “gets” the relational algebraic power underpinning

Can anyone compare the Voxon displays to the technique used in the old Sega Time Traveler arcade game? I have to assume that it is fundamentally much more capable, but the video in the article makes it look (to the end user) quite similar.

That sounds about right -- my rule of thumb is that $200/mo TCO is about as low as you can reasonably go "in general". My last two vehicles were 1. 2005 Chrysler Pacifica. Paid $16,500 in '07. Sold in '17 for $1,900

Right. And even “small” things like deck footings need to use sonotubes or similar to get below the frost line. Otherwise one or two years of frost heaving will ruin that new deck.

The last section on Operational Flexibility and the inability to change the event history raises a very good point. Like most of the issues, the solution requires experience to know when you are at the Goldilocks point (Just Right). This s
