All speculation is risk. BTC is in no special category in that regard. But keep saving us from ourselves if you wish.

You have a degree relevant to every conversation, apparently. You are in love with the 'appeal to authority' fallacy. So, whatever. Arguing about what BTC is or isn't seems like a tremendous waste of time, does it not? No

You either fail to understand how BTC actually works, or you are purposely disingenuous for the sake of argument.

You fail to understand that you just made up the price of 500,000. No one will invest. BTC, however, has reached the current USD value by natural market forces. You don't get to just make up prices, and neither does BTC.

That's a very good point. I'm only speaking from the view of my experience, and my responsibilities and concerns are different than your example. I suppose my initial skepticism of the article is grounded in that we do all we ha

I believe we are misunderstanding each other, as you are making some assumptions. We do spend time training junior developers. We are hands on during work. I'm talking about one problem at the start of the process. In the example, I

You fail to understand that this issue is not binary. It is not required to be either fully supportive or fully against safe spaces. Safe spaces can be valuable. The original article, OP, and myself are showing a concern at the usage of

If I take a car to an establishment labelling themselves as a 'Car Wash', and their washing method consists of flinging mud all over the car....said establishment isn't a very good car wash, is it?

It's factually incorrect to say that transactions are untraceable. Every single transaction is logged on a public ledger. The only difficulty lies in establishing that a particular address belongs to a particular entity. KYC/AM
