This sounds like an unfalsifiable claim of AI threats so I’m inclined to dismiss it out of hand.

Are there workarounds VPN clients can use to prevent this attack from working (or in the worst case, disconnect rather than send traffic outside the tunnel on a hostile network)?

Probably they had some contractual commitments with TSMC and had to use up their N3B capacity somehow. But as soon as N3E became available it’s a much better process overall.

What is the fix for this vulnerability? Is it the router that needs to get a software update, the VPN client, the OS, or some/all of the above?

So for this attack does the attacker need to control your internet router? Or does it only need to control ISP infrastructure?

OK at least the idea that it’s mostly sectarian disputes makes sense. I do wonder though, if most Corps want as much leverage and rights for themselves, why did Linux largely “win” in the enterprise world.

I don’t think it would be anytime soon but I could definitely see someone making an argument around climate.

You may be soon, I will continue to buy the real thing until they outlaw that too in the name of saving the planet (er, I mean, implementing 21st century sumptuary laws).

As a neophyte to the server/homelab world, why do people have such strong feelings about FreeBSD vs Linux? To me they seem to accomplish much the same things in much the same ways, although my only experience with a BSD like system is

Yes. Trading costs and high spread are inherently wasteful. Reducing both of those and increasing liquidity is an unalloyed good.

Power Density seems to be scaling 1:1 for N5/4 to N3, with a 50% increase in transistors per mm^2 and a 33% reduction in power at the same performance (which when scaling horizontally means 50% more performance at the same power). Cost

For context: A 4090 has 76 billion transistors, and the B200 superchip that Nvidia announced has around 200 billion transistors, on an absolutely enormous package of 2 dies glued together ala the M2 Ultra. So this would suggest a minimum de

No. I've run the Rowhammer test in memtest86 on my PC after building it (as part of the whole memtest package to verify my XMP was stable) and got zero errors on 64GB of DDR5 memory over all the passes. If Memtest couldn't do it w

Very few US media outlets are worth anything imo, basically WSJ, Bloomberg, and (very marginally) Politico. If you are lucky your local paper may be worthwhile for local matters but not for anything else.
