I fully agree with this as well. This is why I think it’s important for research to be carried out by academia: they have no incentive to hide their secret sauce.

I don’t care much about location, but I would use a notification service that is provably end-to-end encrypted. Possible use cases: * Long build finishes on my PC. Send me a message on the phone. * Log watcher detects an issue on a server.
