A bit off-topic, but I thought here would be a good place to ask: What are the economics like for a consultancy (say 50 people)? What are the major challenges that make scaling difficult?

Reviewing rejected apps would be a waste of time given how many apps YC has received. A script could probably do the most time consuming bits.

A friend of mine recently asked me "I'm looking for a job. If my only criterion (it isn't) was which companies are most likely to 10x in value in a few years, which companies would those be?" My answer was Docker and Ocu

Value gets created when a company does things like build widgets and sell them to customers. As a rough guideline, it’s good to stay in roles where you’re close to the doing. It’s easier to sit around and talk about building a startup tha

Source: My girlfriend does promo modelling from time to time. Here are a few things that I found interesting: * Bikini modelling (perhaps obviously) pays the most. Numbers are in the $50-75/hour range. * For non-bikini modelling, liquo

I never understood Yuri's involvement. I always thought his investment philosophy was to enter at the Series B or later stage. On another note, here's a recent anecdote (the plural of anecdote is not data!) about Khosla Ventures.
