Yeah, I don't consider the phishing scams interesting at all. This seems like more of a marketing stunt than anything. And it's borderline not hacking. They actually didn't even do the whole thing themselves. Instead hired a

Thanks for the tips. I am not sure in which cases the MySQL one doesn't work correctly. ON DUPLICATE KEY UPDATE checks every unique fields in table, not just PRIMARY key. Also, I'll try these suggestions, but you can see that it c

I guess it depends on the task a lot. I transcribed a few college lecture fragments at one point just to figure out what it's like and i was able to type while listening as I could understand the accent right away. While giving out Tur

This is like the worst case scenario. If the person can touch type or if there are major pauses during the recordings (which happens a lot during lectures), you make $15/hr. If there are enough pauses, you can do two at a time and get

Depends on your data. Sometimes (particularly when you have only 1-3 tables) MySQL is much faster and you have to go out of your way writing stored procedures to make Postgres compete. Example: select COUNT(1), status FROM some_table G

Gensim's implemention is better than the original and allows for Python API access to all the features. Highly recommended. Radim tends to write really memory efficient code unlike some other Python libs, so you can deal with large d

I suggest Gensim for Word2Vec. Spacy is really fast, the author is extremely knowledgeable, and it works well on the datasets it was trained on. Problem with SpaCy for me was that it was pre-trained on those texts and it was not possible to

How do people transfer photos from digital cameras then? Many cameras don't have built in USB/networking of any kind.

Full SD makes complete sense. Many cameras use an SD card. Now you need a separate adapter to carry around with your laptop instead of a nice built-in SD card reader.

The DPI is really a software problem. More DPI should only be better except for battery use. IMO Touchpads/clickpads on those are a deal breaker. They are so bad that it is almost impossible to be nearly as productive as with a mouse.

Dropbox lets you get a link right away. But only for screenshots. Screencasts you need to use itunes then copy the file to dropbox, but it is fairly easy too. Just not one click.

Definitely. A lot of problems can benefit from sequence labeling. I did a similar thing with labeling malware names[1] and it worked really well with only about a hundred examples for each type of sequence. [1] http://lqdc.github.
