I think the long-trip problem is solved by families owning one gas or hybrid car, and one pure EV car. Or even two pure EVs, and planning to rent a gas powered car for long trips!

Doesn't Apple maintain their incorporation in Ireland so that they don't have to pay taxes? I remember a year or two back that Ireland began questioning Apple's tax status. I wonder if Apple agreed to hire workers in Ireland

I feel exactly the same way. It's such a major disappointment that it wasn't more widely adopted, because WebOS is still to this day such a pleasure of an OS to use, and very intuitive feeling.
