Also, if you're in San Francisco and ever want to grab a coffee and just chat with someone going down the same tough road, I'm happy to meet up. No pretenses, no bullshit, just real talk. You can also hit me up on IRC/Twitter: @dpg

I wonder if github could do this pretty simply for gists while using the zen mode enabled on comments: https://github.com/blog/1379-zen-writing-mode

Can you tell everyone a little more about yourself? It might help in getting some leads. Might want to include a fb/tw/gh link as well. Let me know if I can help. I'm @dpg on twitter or you can reach me at dan.p.gailey@gmail.com

You're right, we did this to have a good time and talk about some things that we wanted to talk about. We'll get better as time goes on. Sorry about the editing, that was all my fault. I'm still learning what works and what doesn't. Happy y

Thanks. :) We'll get better. It's a lot tougher than I thought to organize/shoot/edit a show like this.

What's the most difficult part about moving your domains in and out and why would you switch registrars?
822.
by lowglow 14y ago
Hey all! I'm trying to build a domain registrar we'd actually love to use. Does bitcoin really appeal to you as a user? I'm trying to find a list of must-haves and want-to-have features to bake into my project.

http://valleyanon.com/ - I'm building an anonymous blogging platform to help people tell their story without fear. I think anonymity online should be available to everyone and I'd love any feedback you might have.

I'm building a registrar we'd want to use. I'd like to hear a list of "love to haves" for people interested in the project. Try out what I have so far http://nametagup.com/

I would guess they're changing culture, then firing those that don't fit (or have lost all intrinsic motivation) through performance reviews, then making the rest sing and dance until they get burned out, finally replacing those that left o

This is a big concern for me. I think we're really hitting kids/teens too hard for hacking. I'll be chatting a bit about this on Techendo this week. I'm not sure I know what's best, or how to deal with malicious vs. non-malicious hacking. B

My obsession with phone phreaking in the 90s was because it was the medium by which we accessed the world. There was a wire that ran into my house whereby I could speak to anyone or dial into anywhere. It was attached to a phone that itself

Reminds me a bit of working with hot glue guns, only quicker drying. I still remember the first time I got hot glue on my hand while making a project in elementary school.

I also could really use some community input on features you'd like from a product like this. Sort of a mashup of registrar + hosting + management + social.

by lowglow 14y ago
Good point. The very basic idea is that you follow friends + domains, and you can see all of the domains your friends own/have access to. I'm going to grow the discovery process a bit more next, and add some other features. I'd like this to
