Hey! It's me on the video. Indeed, making this really 100% SQL-only had very interesting and unexpected consequences. I see people who were initially far away from programming circles creating GitHub accounts just to post on the discus

I like to think of AI as the physical CPU my programs run on. I have no idea how to build a modern CPU, and building one would be way out of my reach anyway, but it is general-purpose enough and interchangeable enough for me to be able to b

The result of clip.[...].call(...) is already a buffer, isn't it? You just have not to touch it at all. And on the cpp side, remove the json encoding and just return a raw buffer.

Looking at the rest of your code, it looks like you are doing a lot of unnecessary processing on these embeddings. They even seem to be doubly json encoded at some point: https://github.com/ente-io/clip-ggml/blob&#

SQLite supports raw binary BLOBs, and I would store embeddings as a simple 512*4 = 2048 bytes blob representing just the float32 embeddings. Then you can access the data from the buffer directly in dart: https://api.dart.dev

I make a SQL-only website builder (SQLPage) that could be qualified as low code. I think all the points mentioned are valid, but some of them are easy to work around: > They wanted truly custom functionality that the low-code solution co

I feel obligated to add a shameless plug here. The idea is very close to a project I presented at pgconf.eu last week: SQLPage https://sql.ophir.dev/ SQLPage has the same goal as postgrest+htmx, but is a little bit higher l

> If you're just using SQLite to write and read full JSON blobs, the JSON datatype will be the best pick. There is no json data type ! If you are just storing json blobs, then the BLOB or TEXT data types will be the best picks.

As the maintainer of sql.js and SQLPage, I am very excited about this: - json is used a lot by sql.js users to interact with JavaScript. - to generate more sophisticated web pages in SQLPage, json is crucial I can't wait for the next r
