I am sure Trump paid estate tax on that $40 million. In any case, he used the money to get wealth and fame. It was clearly his goal to get fame, and that would not have been achieved by buying index funds.

I only attend civic hackathons that are run by non-profits and for the benefit of non-profits. They are not a competition. Stuff like: http://hackforchange.org/

What are you expecting the result of the cease and desist to be? Is it likely that they thought they had the right to sell your software? If it is literally your bits (not a clone), a DMCA request to the host is easier.

Raise your price (or take the hit) and move on. Your biggest problem isn't getting paid, it's getting anyone at all to buy anything from you, which needs (1) for you to make the thing (2) for you to get customers, but doesn'

We probably need a little more information to help. In my experience, I got enough very close matches from past companies (1 or 2) that I didn't need to look at other promising candidates. The number of applicants is irrelevant -- wha

Michael Bloomberg is probably the closest right now who has won an election that is high-profile enough to launch a presidential bid.

I believe that they just added up acquisition amounts and the last funding rounds of each company. I don't believe that number represents what "they value" the portfolio at beyond that.

From my anecdata, the acquiring company is using the earn-out as more of a test that what you are saying at acquisition time is true. It augments due-diligence. Meaning, if you are right about the business, these milestones are trivial to

This happens to me a lot too. Next time -- it's nice to ask the commenter to make an answer when they are correct. You give them the check and up-vote and you can always elaborate on their answer.

Check the GH terms of service. They actually own the URL and might not allow selling it. For example, Twitter frowns upon this. If you offer a price, the company could send that email to GH as evidence that your account violates the ToS.

If you all agree with all of those points then you have more than enough to get started. The main thing I would add is a way to improve your process (the retrospective meeting, e.g.). That way you can see if you still all agree and make sm

I think you mean "too obvious" (can't be too novel) I think it would be a big mistake to admit that yours is the same, because if this doesn't carry you've effectively said you are infringing.

It's a hard question (not a no-brainer IMO). Rather than look at floor coverers, I'd look at other creatives like movie/TV script writers. They are unionized, and what they do is hard to characterize as unskilled or commoditi
