A rational actor will exchange money for food rather than starve to death, regardless of whether the currency they are using is deflationary or not. Your argument is nonsense.

Fed profits (after paying out their 6% shareholder dividend to banks) gets remitted back to the US treasury. With a captured Fed, this is nothing but the government printing money to cancel their debt, with an extra step where banks skim so

> What happens if the biggest player has an unlimited supply of money they can just mint at will and use it to drive up the price that you pay? That's the situation we are in with fiat currency. That's what central banks do.

What ridiculous framing. The transaction wasn't reversed. Some people stole some bitcoin from Bitfinex in 2016, and then the US gov stole it from them in 2022. What exactly got reversed?

Use multisig. Just to add to this, we haven't even scratched the surface of what's possible with shared/collaborative custody and timelocks.

You're missing a few pieces. The amount of electricity needed to protect the network is directly tied to the value of the block reward. This depends on the value of bitcoin, true, but also the amount users are paying in fees and the

Not a metaphor. The general theory of relativity is proof of work, so is a bridge. Being too big to fail is an example of proof of stake in a system and how it can be gamed. > an ever-increasing difficulty in the case of Bitcoin (getting

Literally everything good that humans have produced are proof of work. Proof of stake is the rent seeking that comes afterwards.

For bitcoin at least, a top of the line ASIC miner can do ~1,000,000x more hashes per second at ~1/100th the power per hash compared to a top of the line GPU. The current total hash rate for the Bitcoin network is ~200EH/s. So a 5

Do you know the reason? In my case I just had to boost the power for the wifi a bit in the settings to improve the speed. But I never ran it with the original firmware, so have no point of comparison.

Nonsense. Free banking systems worked fin in Scotland and Canada on a gold standard, and would arguably work even better in an internet connected society. Central banks exist purely to give governments full control over money.

You don't receive legal documents when you mine bitcoin. You receive bitcoin locked to an address to which you presumably have the key. Good luck convincing everyone that it's your bitcoin when someone else can prove they have the

Craig Steven Wright is a liar and a fraud. It is only due to the fact that our society is so scientifically and technologically illiterate that he is still on anyone's radar in 2021. Here are a bunch of signed messages to that affect -

Yeah, people making these arguments haven't lived in developing countries with terrible, inconsistent, reactionary, arbitrarily applied laws. Where you have to "break the law" constantly in order to survive.

I haven't read the LNs, and have no opinion on whether it's Haruhi's mind or Kyon's. Either way, after watching it, I was left with a feeling of emptiness and the sense that life is meaningless if you're not able to
