https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum/all/what-... They apparently use AES-128. Not quite the level of Bitwarden, which uses hashing (argon2 or PBKDF2) and AES-CBC-256 simultaneously.

This is such a shallow take. There is little learning involved in setting up GrapheneOS, especially if someone a little more techy lends a hand. I'd argue I need less of my tech background and run into far less hiccups than my typical

I'm an avid reader of Glenn Greenwald (of the Snowden mass-surveillance revelations) and he's been talking about the lawsuit they're bringing against the government following this. I really love the type non-partisan journali

Agreed, Roadwarden is an absolute gem and has earned two full playthroughs from me. It's such a compelling experience for a text-based game, it feels especially so as I'm not old enough to have a nostalgic appreciation for text ga

I'm a big signal user yet skeptical that it's not directly involved with intelligence agencies. That's all to say, this sounds like FUD but I think it should be taken seriously. Out of curiosity, where have you read this?

I live nearby the airport and can attest to just how intense the wind was yesterday. I think the idea of a gust makes more sense though, as planes are certainly designed and operated to handle strong winds.

I block HTML5 canvas reading in Floorp, which screwed up the book. Normally I can disable it but no dice here.

Absolutely a fair counterpoint. I currently back up my Aegis 2FA codes and I guess I could do the same with bitwarden. Out of curiosity, do you actually store a paper copy in their safe?

I've had an MX Master mouse (the "2" for maybe 8-9 years then the "3" for 2-3 years now) and love it. Great performance, great battery life, fantastic design and feel. On Windows I definitely do not love the 150Mb p

It's also the distorted ability to rack up ungodly amounts of debt without facing the normal consequences of doing that. The US economy is booming, but it's borrowing from two decades from now to fuel the moment. When their debt g

I really enjoy Graphic Audio's audiobooks (full voice cast, music, SFX, high quality production). Their titles can all be bought outright, which is great as I spend a lot of time on a plane or away from a cell signal or internet capabl

Every small business who cares about their Google Maps standing responds to bad reviews, disputing their (proof-free) claims. Yes they have no proof but I would still be interested in knowing if dang was ever even made aware of the claims,

I'm not sure why you're getting voted down. The HN guidelines clearly state downvotes are not to be used to express disagreement. Your point was politely and concisely made, and stuck to the topic. Do better, voters.

I think most everyone would agree that using early LLMs (and personally I'd still consider current LLMs to be early) in legal contexts is ill-advised, at best. Circle back to this question in 5 years and I think the response will be ve
