I often see comments on HN complaining about Firefox being poorly supported by some sites. I honestly cannot remember the last time I experienced any support issues with it. Are these generally more niche sites and are we talking misaligne

Hey thanks that was nice to hear. I don't have a blog myself if that's what you're asking (but do check out my latest project on YouTube "LED Dreamcoat"). If you mean about mining in general, any blogs or informatio

I'm curious how the personal mission/ambition Elon has of SpaceX marries with fiduciary duty and shareholder expectations. If he is being honest, the true goal is "reach mars". There may not be money at the end of that t

Prototypes and early models are extremely expensive but there are encouraging signs that fusion plants could be cheaper. The technology is inherently safer so site-preparation would be cheaper (can be a massive bill for fission), the same c

I don't know if I've experienced a crash in Firefox in years. I would really suggest taking a look at the crash logs and maybe do a checkup on your machine's health.

A bit off topic but I'm a little sad to see "Covid-19 made in lab" in the "dangerous to yourself and others" tier, especially with how much public view has evolved. Very few people will ever know for certain, it see

I work as a mining engineer and in my eyes these stages are effectively the same as the author describes in the software world. I'd even argue they apply to most "professional" careers.

So long as wages for top politicians remain not top CEO-level (IMO causing corruption to make up for difficulty and investment made in getting into power) and countries compete in a race to the bottom for taxes and secrecy (which allows for

I see what you mean. I wonder if while cutting CEO pay if we're cutting into meritocracy as a path to financial success and just further enlarging the slice of the pie for existing holders of capital. Right? I understand that wages are

Couldn't it just be a matter of scale? In order for the tax savings to outweigh the expensive consultant and account fees, you'd likely have to have a large sum of money to hide.

I agree that the sourcing does seem off in JDDunn9's post but your comment doesn't invite further discussion much.
