AFAIK, it's not Thunderbolt on Lenovos, just Mini DisplayPort+Audio, which has similar connectors and cables but excludes the PCI-alike interface for high-speed general purpose IO which this exploits.

Are the projects you work on business glue written in a high-level language and accompanied by tests? At the places/projects that have these policies, (and whenever possible) software won't (or shouldn't) be rocket surgery.

Oh, certainly. I was thinking we were speaking developer experience within the realm of building/hosting network services, not so much end-user experience for client software. That space is still a special hell for lots of reasons. Aut

Hard to disable? Most of the dependency tracking tools I'm aware of, spanning from system level to application level, require you to intervene by default, even in the case of security releases and/or even have nice version pinning

I think "know" over "learn" used by the grandparent is important there; probably they were made to learn it for coursework, they want to be allowed to continue only having to know that much and not learn further.

Yeah. I hope software management gets less comfortable with these answers and put their money toward real sustainability such that we see the commercial sides of FOSS projects grow in quality and quantity, with sustainable business models a

The typography and layout, colors all seem pretty generic or even slightly unlike google, but I agree. It must just be the Open Sans. I didn't realize how much I had it associated with Google's usage.

This requires some combo of having a support contract with a budget large enough for manual QA or having built automated tests with the initial work. Vast majority of projects at build-and-forget CMS agencies simply won't. (The reason

As far as multiple apps per VM, have you taken a look at OpsWorks? It seems to be aiming to be as automatic as Elastic Beanstalk, but significantly more flexible (at the expense of up-front configuration effort). It certainly is unfortunate
