We have exactly what your explaining in the form of taxes, and the outcomes are terrible. We spend $1B on a healthcare website, that other companies have duplicated for a mere decimal point of the price. Not only that, but it actually turne

I find snapchats interface to be extremely easy to use, and so do alot of my friends. It easily creates catagories, and becomes extremely intuitive. Personal on the left, creation in the middle, and stories on the right. I cannot think of a

I was always curious about this too. Sam Altman sold Loopt for less than all the funding he got, and yet he still says in multiple places that he was able to pocket a couple million.

I find myself being very skeptical about robotics' use in society. I think robotics will splinter off into many different specifically designed forms. the "irobot" dream of a humanoid robot doing all the menial tasks that hum

Great list! I love alot of the books you put on this list. I see Brave New World on alot of book lists. I get that it is a groundbreaking work at the time of its publication, but is it really that great nowadays? I've tried to read it

My wife told me that this book turned me into a design snob and she constantly pokes fun at me for it. One time, there was a pull handle for a door that needs to be pushed, and i went on a rant about how that is terrible design, and why wou

I always found this question pretty impossible to answer. There are so many books that i find myself wanting to recommend, and the list soon becomes unmanageable. So, instead i'm going to provide a different resource - Patrick collison

Stripes ultimate mission is to increase the total GDP of the internet. The more transactions that are happening on the internet, the better it is for them. So, from a company standpoint whatever they can possibly do to ensure that companies

The difference is that it takes up existing infrastructure to do that. A freeway/Roadway in itself takes up huge amount of spaces from the city. A tunnel under the city would only take space at the "exit" points.

I think you missed the first point I made. Tesla will be THE biggest ride-sharing service once it gets to scale with self-driving cars. Why would you buy a car in a large city if it'll be 2.50 to get to work in a self driving, all elec

I think people are missing the strategic importance here. Tesla is going to be in the game of self driving cars. Once self driving cars happens, there is no longer going to be anyone who buys cars, they will simply hail a ride using the sel

Some people would disagree with you. I believe military and defense spending should actually be one of the only role of governments. Leave healthcare and education to industry. Let the free market decide the curriculum, teachers salaries, a

I agree with you completely. There are so many unknown benefits that we gain with having such a large military that its very hard to calculate. Also, one of the worst things that could ever possibly happen in a war is being evenly matched.
