I might be a nitpicker, but I really hate it when people say (or in this case write) "calorie" but mean "kilo calorie". There is a difference.

I'm using a AMD E450 based machine running FreeBSD and 5x2TB disks in a zfs zraid for network storage. While SSH access could be faster, it's certainly enough for streaming 1080p video.

I'm wondering where is AMD's counterpart to Intel's Xeon E3-12XX? ECC RAM, AES NI and a low price point and hopefully not too high idle power usage should make an attractive CPU. On a side note: does anyone know what happened to the "Zurich

I never understood this idiom; to me, 'rocket science' seems to be a fairly well understood issue compared to i.e. the (human) brain.

if you want to use your CardDAV address book with mutt, you might want to try out pycarddav http://lostpackets.de/pycarddav/ . If you want features like write support, try the write_support branch from github https://github.com/geier/pyc

What is so great about the OS X Desktop? (Honest question; As a long term Mac OS (X) user who switched to Linux about a year ago I am really wondering...) Also, has a heavy computer user I mainly switched to Linux/FreeBSD because of the muc

I haven't yet seen any charging for figures, only charging for colour figures (which probably really significantly increase cost). But since I don't know anybody who reads papers on paper it doesn't really mater anymore. And you might make

I just experimented a bit with Blessings and I love it! I have used some urwid for terminal projects, but for the next one I'll consider Blessings as well. Also I can't believe how few lines of code it is...
