Not coding in java is often about preference and choice. Not sure where the superiority comes from.

If you're into factory factories, you should really dig deep into delegation factory factories. There are many. They are a joy to work with as you get to export both interface blueprints and heap allocations to external third counter-p

Saying this as layman that warned for years about virus engineering, this is just a given. The mere potential should be enough. However, speculation without evidence and mitigation is bad.

Speculation about it might be detrimental. So it seems like a bad tradeoff unless one can find evidence one way or the other, and what constructively to do about it first.

I agree. One should have good use cases for channels, and they're overused just to get new people started with goroutines. Mutexes go a long way, and underpins channels anyways.

Haha, that's fair! Still a no-go though (jk).

If you can avoid interface{} you should, ie. by declaring interfaces to types and using them explicitly. You can then mix your own types, and still be protected by the type system.

Go is more about explicit imperative style, defaulting to good/known performance characteristics. Would advice against trying FP with it, unless just for testing it out.

There's always tradeoffs, to be sure. What many are trying to convey is that Go's defaults tend to be the stronger and simpler options. However, for a lone wolf project, I'd lean more on something like gorm, than just hand-cr

Typically this is passed to production and not seen by devs. Ie. there's no point to handle NullPointer explicitly (programmer error).

If sharing state, you're much better off using locks and test with go's race detector. There'll be subtle bugs or contention though, unless you don't share state. If not, you might try 0mq, immutable lists or any other f

In practice infrastructure is more complex than client-server, even if distributed. So inconsistencies may propagate in semi-random ways. Interestingly this happens in physical systems too, something accounting and banks provide means to mi

If it's anything used by Netflix, Amazon Prime, Facebook, etc. it's inconsistent in practice. Maybe some of them does it right, but updates seems to be lost often. Perhaps something else than CRDTs is used though.

Studies and evidence points to circles being safer and more fluid for traffic flow. The larger, the more flow. As cars near a circle they need to slow down, follow the rules and allow some error. Being more cautious prevents more crashes an

If control by human is so poor, this is a huge murder vehicle. Sure the systems are improving, but programmers should see all sorts of problems with this that can't be mitigated.

Best intro, and one where I didn't go into meta-key flashbacks and turned off the video before the end. Worth the watch just to get an idea of what org-mode offers. Pro of emacs: It takes care of your whole life. Con of emacs: It reall

The highest infection rates are still short range though. This, combined with being a new virus would still be similar to today.

Meanwhile in more sane countries citizens choose wether to wear masks and not. We locked down early and often, so almost none died. Anyways, studies show distance to be more preventative.

Medical specialists were concerned about incorrect usage of masks, which may increase risks of infection. Later studies contradicted those fears somewhat.
