A guy named Jony Hudson has gotten R to kind of compile to JS using emscripten. See http://r.789695.n4.nabble.com/R-in-the-browser-td4667985.htm... But the JS blob ends up being like ~15mb!

I'm a decent coder but don't know about anything near the metal. Is there a good introductory resource for learning about low-level details like the ones discussed in the post?

Though, doxing seems to have a peculiar asymmetry. The doxee is revealed but the doxers remain anonymous (in some cases, Anonymous). It seems that Chinese "doxers" are more open about their own identities.

I'm as pro-Apple as they come but, to me, it does seem hard to distinguish this instance of Apple-Mondaine similarity from the recent Samsung-Apple similarity...

I ran a before (version 16?) and after on the Asteriods canvas benchmark ( http://www.kevs3d.co.uk/dev/asteroidsbench/ ). Overall, my score improved. The improvement wasn't uniform across tests though - some tests sped up a bunch and some a

I'm not saying that I believe Parker's argument. I brought it up because the GP was considering the consequences of what would happen if Parker's argument were true. The GP, assuming Parker's argument were true, seemed to think that the c

Parker is arguing that in many cases, the engineer can actually have a bigger impact at the bigger company (e.g. because it leverages economies of scale and having lots of startups fragmentizes the talent pool).
