For what it's worth as a long time Apple user, I don't have any use for this feature. I think Apple knows this, which probably contributes to they have punted it for so long. shrug

You don't pay for everything in dollars. You pay for things with opportunity cost, time, energy, mental effort, etc. in addition to your local currency.

What would it take for you to start using these things? I use almost all of the native apps (messages, notes, safari, FaceTime, maps, etc) so I like seeing improvements and appreciate that they aren't rotting.

The converse statement is something like "Japan is not an eastern society" which just sounds... laughably incorrect.

Why do you think this is specifically a 'western society' thing? Browse Japanese sites and online tools and there is just as much gamification and 'thrilling' graphics and animation - if not more. Github looks like a tec

What happens if people who receive UBI still need assistance? Do we ignore them and say "should have spent your UBI better"? Do we support them with existing or new welfare systems? I'm genuinely curious.

The author sold "95%", not all, for what it's worth. I am not an economist, or a professional investor - I am a complete amateur and mostly ignorant, but it bothers me that folks are treating "14.7% unemployment" as

I appreciate you articulating this point so well. This is a very complex situation and people on all ends of the spectrum are being asked to compromise on their values for the sake of public good. Some people are more willing to compromise

Try to imagine what successful management of a pandemic looks like - I’ll give you a hint - it’s not lots of death followed by “we should have done more.” Governments of the world haven’t reacted perfectly, but they are doing their best wit

What do you mean unreasonable? Does a blanket statement like this really apply to every major US city? I see multiple apartments for $800 or less in LA, SF and Seattle on an apartment search site.
