You are describing exactly the Dunning-Kruger Effect[0] in action. I’ve worked with some very bright yet less technical people who think the output is some sort of magic lamp and vastly overindex on it. It’s very hard as an engineer to exp

And even if they were smuggling drugs, what if there were children on board? Do they deserve to die because of the crimes of their parents? What if they kidnapped someone and forced them to pilot the boat? Does that person deserve to die? I

I don’t think it’s a cartel per se; that would require collusion to keep ink prices high. What seems to have happened with the 2D printer market is a race to the bottom to provide customers with the cheapest printers possible while hiding t

I bought an inexpensive used Mac Mini and attached a standard HDD USB3 enclosure to it with multiple drives. Works great for streaming to any network appliance I want to use.

The fact you’re taking this opportunity to state this clip was hard for you to watch says a lot about your ability to consider another’s perspective in this conversation. I’m out.

Yes, exactly. They’re exercising a power they don’t have, which should not hold up in a lawful country. Obviously, here we are.

He didn’t say anything violent. Have you watched the monologue? Even if he did (which he didn’t), I don’t see Fox shutting down anything when one of their presenters recently stated, on air, that we should euthanize our homeless population.

Another pitfall is SEO: the SEO team might tell us they need a certain element on the page to be an h2, for SEO purposes, but it needs different styling than other h2s on the page. MUI solves this problem by having different typography size

I had a channel (hit ~40k subs from ~15 videos), largely centered around hobby electronics, 3D printing, Raspberry Pi, etc. I stopped publishing videos around 2020 because the economics just didn’t make sense. I didn’t want to release subp

You will need to write custom CSS, but collapsible trees are totally possible to do purely in CSS in any framework via a simple combination of checkboxes, labels, pseudo-classes and CSS combinators. The `:checked` selector allows you to tar

I would say a $140 LIDAR system that’s currently being used in production cars [somewhere] is better than a $0 non-existent LIDAR system. Pair a cheap LIDAR system with some nice cameras and perhaps you can make up much of the difference in
