Even more precisely the vast majority of Chinese people are unified. They are patriots who think China is the best country ever and all the rest are just jealous of their success. Downvote me if you want, but that’s certainly the look that

Hold up. Are you saying people are privileged (“world tipped in their favor”) just because they like going to the office (for whatever reason)?

I don’t use Twitter, so please remind me: did the site allow linking to articles or documents that Snowden stole[0]? And isn’t a hack just theft by other means? If Twitter benevolently censored linking to those docs then at least we have co

The answer is on who you expect to innovate more: big corps that can afford to file, defend, and acquire patents or individual makers? America will win only when we can support both use cases.

We’re talking about paradigm shifts and not just incremental innovation (both are important, but there is a huge difference).

Exactly. The funny thing is that many Chinese science articles have been found to be completely fake. Quantity over quality. Doesn’t mean we can relax, but nothing about China can be judged by Western standards.

They don’t need a moped to “get out of the house”, meet their friends, or “see somewhere new”. They now have the internet for that.

For Pete’s sake! The concerns and themes expressed in Shakespeare are the same as what we often see in modern media. The human condition doesn’t change much over the centuries! Why do you think it’s so bad that we continue to examine things

The point is that many countries are claiming that China is abusing its designation of “developing country” and want that designation revoked. China, of course, is fighting that tooth and nail. The only reasons that China passes the sniff t

A lot of these issues can be solved with ML ala “deepfakes” Purchase a license to use an actor’s voice/likeness. Have them complete a training set. Now you have their digital doppleganger who can act almost any role required of them.

You’re going to write all that when BLM protest and Portland _riots_ are going on? Hundreds or thousands of people close up together breathing hard with or without masks?? Get outta here, you phony.

But this is not “pre crime”. Someone in those areas still has to break the law to be arrested. What you write has zero connection to reality.

You wrote a lot but pointed out none of the flaws of this tech. What’s so alarming about drawing a conclusion that more police resources need to be allocated to a place that has a history of criminal activity?
