Exactly, this is not a bug and this won't be fixed. Go adds a ";" at the end of lines like "func main()", which in this case means "func main(){" has a different meaning than "func main()".

Ok, question. How do you develop the skill of keeping calm under that kind of pressure? I get stressed for the silliest things, I'm sure there is a way to fix that.

I am using it too, because I like it. I didn't like Unity nor Gnome Shell 3 though; and as Gnome Classic lost support it became uglier. But now I found Cinnamon to be a better alternative to anything else. I am very happy with Linux on the

The recursive equations are the means by which you obtain a mapping from one domain to the other (eg. from the programming symbols to the program values). For equations there are many ways in which you can give meaning to each equation in t

In a programming language, you have syntax and semantics. Syntax tells you what you can write and how; for example what is a valid program. Semantics tells you what a program evaluates to, and maps your programs to another domain. Here you

There seem to be to exist to competing theories for success: 1) plan where you want to be in the future, and work your way up there, 2) do things that interest you until somehow, randomly, you hit something big. It is interesting that both

Derivative work that uses the engine must be GPL'd too. That is bad for commercial products that intend to be closed source; I guess those are the commercial products that buy the engine.

Can you add some detail? Isn't it true that in a competitive market the actual profit tends to 0, in the long term? (whatever you call it; the actual money you make at the end of the day). From what I understand in your message, this is not

not sure about episode2, but Half Life 2 works perfectly with Steam, through Wine (if you are using ubuntu, install wine, then download Steam and run it... it should work just out of the box)

For some games, you can just run Steam in Wine, and the game in Wine, and everything runs out of the box. Check the Wine documentation for each game before buying to ensure it works.

Well it's not a spectrum really, you need a mix to do anything. Scientists need developers (or need to be developers too) if they want to do experiments related to their theories, or if they want to push them to the world. Developers need t

So what's the surprise here? this is exactly why you use locks in the code, because you don't know what the compiler is going to do with your code, and you don't want to know all the details of that. The solution is not to know all those as
