Playing office politics right is the most important thing at work. Doing real work is secondary. On other hand as a workhorse I punch occasionally every management’s darling in the face. They don‘t like me, but they know, that somebody must

Have Tesla with badly corroded rear brake discs. Software does clearly not help here. It was very bad at the end of winter. Now it’s getting better in spring. I am curious how does it look in autumn. Trying to use mechanical brakes occasion

There must be full employment every year with a mortgage. And I will work 6-7 years of my career just for this mandatory insurance. Sounds stupid and absurd when I read what I wrote. The widow might get something from that. But let me inves

It's obvious, that there is no pension in Europe in 20 years anyway. Demographics are super ugly everywhere. Investing individually is the single way, that works if one does not want to retire in under the bridge. Sadly Germany does no

In shrinking economy like current Germany’s economy the future does not look bright. White collar jobs are moved to Malaysia, Poland and Serbia at extreme rate. And will never come back. I recently worked at the companies moving whole depar

That’s exactly my experience. I got once a position from my network. It was a foot soldier’s position at classmate’s dad’s company. Decades later my network are same foot soldiers or leads of something like me. Nobody’s there, who could hir

But that’s the winner takes it all situation thanks to software patents in US. The first one patents everything and the rest can catch up later or think about really different approach.

Sounds like a case every lawyer in Germany would like to take. 500€ for first letter to send to the manager reminding the contract conditions. It is enough for most companies not to go further with shady activities. As a contractor one shou

Exactly. I bought 3 or 4 China Lego clones to try and the parts were slightly different in size and in color. Some blocks way too big, so building was not good experience. For original Lego you don’t need sanding paper on the table.

I would say, there was not much new in this. The key part of the project was the real time approach. Acquire samples, process them, find peaks, do FFTs, sum, multiply, divide. Get a float number, turn on the proper LEDs. The data was moved

Modern lawyers use preproduced text blocks for their letters. I would like to believe, that scammers do the same. Probably they even have figured out what phrases are the most effective for good engagement.
