Good news for them, I guess. This way they can write iOS, Windows Phone, etc. clients to go with their Android one. Also ditch the unsupportive parent company (more wood behind fewer arrows and all that) known for killing projects.

Aren't there dozens of terminal apps for Windows? Like: http://mobaxterm.mobatek.net/ I think far more people use POSIX compatibility layers like Cygwin, which include SSH, and then a console app of their choice anyway

This doesn't seem like a good source of Android news. The writer writes mostly about iOS and makes a lot of glaringly obvious mistakes when writing about Android. Note in this link talking about Stagefright like it is the name of an ex

Would have been nice if they had updated it more for the web. When I make my browser very narrow, for example, the side figure is squished so tiny it is unreadable. Good web sites are reactive and would have moved it below the section at th

Different adapters are different wattages. It's definitely possible, for both laptops and phones, to have an adapter that outputs less than the device is using. So you can be both plugged in and drain your battery especially if doing s

Article seems correct to me. Even diehard thinkpad fans say the product line has degraded. Have you actually compared recent ones to older ones or are you just complaining without data points?

Doesn't sound bad to me at all. I'd happily live in a shipping container to get rid of my one hour BART commute either way each day. My east bay rent is more than double that too. It seems better in every way that matters to me.

Usually the dilution doesn't matter because the valuation goes up so much each funding event that you still end up ahead in total value. If it doesn't, well, that is usually the company failing, not you getting cheated. It is poss

And where exactly is the proof that there is some drinking problem in tech? Just people who refuse to drink anything at all and complaining when one a day is healthy? I think it's likely more of a religious problem, or anti-social prob

Never saw anyone with a drinking problem except my mother, honestly. She would get blind drunk and scream every afternoon. You do realize one drink a day is supposed to be healthy, right? Even coworkers who went to the bar ever night rarely

Agreed. Go is a systems language not really designed or good for mobile development. I think the only advantage anyone could claim is for concurrency, but that actually very easy in standard Android Java using built-in classes like Handler,

It would be nice if they lead off with how they differ from the big names everyone knows like IndieGoGo (founded 2008) and KickStarter (2009). The company seems like a boring and irrelevant clone (2012), then they go into things like their

For rich people, it is a small sum. I've lived in a private room in East Palo Alto while working on startups for years for $500/month rent. If having your own private place is a must, I think you should be working at a big company

Kind of reminds me when they intentionally drove around in circles in a parking lot and cranked up the heat to try to kill a Tesla then lied about it and were caught. When did the NYT become gawker level link baiters instead of reporters?
