I've used AU Lab to pipe my microphone input through my headphones, which is apparently how professionals like to record audio (a "monitor" so you can hear how you sound), but I couldn't get used to it

I got confused because I tried to use ctrl-k and wasn't getting any results; after reading the docs, at least on my system (neovim on mac), ctrl-K (uppercase) is the proper shortcut for entering digraphs when in insert mode. (:help dig

it doesn't - I use `gq` frequently to format things without the LSP, a concept that helix lacks completely. An example is: I write a long comment string on one line, then `Vgq` breaks it into a comment block according to the line width
