Just checked and it appears they’ve fixed this. For years it would occupy the entire screen and not permit accessing any other tabs. (You can find threads from last year discussing this). However they still don’t offer a way to upload speci

Worst offender is google photos on iOS - you can’t even open the app without giving it all photos access. Selected photos doesn’t count. Even just to view photos already saved in the cloud.

I don’t have a problem paying for ad free services - but why should we pay 3x or more of the revenue generated by the free tier? YouTube premium is $12/mo… there’s no way I would be watching $12 worth of ads a month at my current usage

I think I saw somewhere the average user generates $0.12/month in ad revenue for Reddit. The proposed API rate is over 10x that.

Not exactly a cookbook, but the manual for our weber gas grill has proved shockingly useful in cooking most meats to near perfection. Has tables for thickness, cuts, etc.

One example of it being useful is unchecked std::variant access in c++ - there isn’t any api to access it like a union (if you already know the type) but you can mark the wrong type path unreachable to the same effect.

I remember having this one on the Wii U... Each level wasn't as much a level but more a short "trick" the player had to complete. It seemed to choose a path first, then place obstacles just narrowly avoiding the chosen path.
