Money as a medium of exchange has no magical properties. But you need to think about what money represents - how it ties different people together. Some people make money, then spend it on their own subsistence. Others are able to use money

Material wealth is not enough in itself - capital must have gained it through just means and emerge the victor of a fair competition. That’s the liberal conservative’s personal responsibility. I’m not sure about the Uber case, but try apply

I thought it was ironic, because it starts out almost like a children's story and is very approachable. I'd rather read this than a textbook, that's for sure.

What did Saddam or Afghanistan have to do with 9/11? Saudi Arabia and (I think) Pakistan were connected to 9/11, both countries that are US allies. Understanding why the US entered Iraq is not hard: https://www.youtube.

I don't know much about multics emacs, but the author's knowledge of baroque counterpoint and fugue is unparalleled outside of academe. He's spread his knowledge of music theory with many, including me, on the (opensource) mu

Thanks for this! I'm doing an undergrad thesis applying TDA to EEG. Currently I've been trying out using a sublevel set filtration on EEG data using a sliding window. For some reason the total persistence (sum of barcode lengths)

I'm not sure if genetics play as great a role as culture. IMO there is enough genetic variation in all cultures to produce Einsteins, but some cultures are able to cultivate that potential better than others. You can't separate cu
