> The trilemma exists because we do not have a decentralized source of scarcity for human capital. It seems like the author insists that each human only gets one identity. However, this cannot work because it is also not Privacy-preservi

The strive for simplicity is very old in the hard sciences. It’s already displayed in Euclid’s elements. Every generation rediscovers a virtue of the previous ones.

> If the criteria is number of engaged human users, then for sure the decentralized networks are far behind. 7B humans are organized in decentralized social networks (linked by small world phenomenon). 99% active daily.

I wrote concentrate not code. Socializing was more a term for mails, calls and meetings plus the sometimes very productive coffee machine talk. I can code without concentration but did you ever measure your productivity and and error rate o

Working nonstop is a natural state. Think of parents. Of course you cannot code for 14h every day. You have to vary your work. Personally I can concentrate for only 5h if I want to maintain that for several days in a row. I felt very burnt

Am I? Which big corporation? dejanseo? google? I'm siding with dejanseo (the user) because I screwed up myself before. And I will possibly do it again. I see some recklessness but not malicious intent. This whole branch got flagged awa

I think in this situation it would be best to admit that it was improper behavior. You can agree that you should have either - used your own site - or someone that explicitly agreed to run this experiment. Then you can go on that you regret

Software wise you could also have a look at dask. Which is more lightweight than Hadoop and spark. But since you are asking for a project, why not do something local. I.e. you could scrape some data for some time (cinemas, crime) and struct

I consider topology an important branch of mathematics. Morse theory[1] is very powerful to prove existence or non existence of solutions in other spaces of mathematics. I saw it applied to robot motion planning [2] (and could use that to p

I disagree. Remember the big Apple plunge a few years ago? Or Macies about a year ago? Or Sodastream a few years ago? I find a reasonable opportunity about once per year. But I still lack the balls to go into these with huge amounts. (Curr

While the computers vision seems to work well the robot arm control is poor. The hand just points somewhere to Waldo. I would have expected that always the same finger points on him.

What is considered cheating is a cultural construct. My general feeling is that we are too judgmental about it. Accept that humans are weak. Learn to forgive yourself and your partner and move on together. It’s really not that bad.
