So how are they better of by banning cars in 10 or 20 years? Communities can also take loans to build out infrastructure now and pay with the transition tax levied a bit later. As too political suicide, there are three types of voters: a) t

Why not raise tax instead of banning? You can tax cars and fuel. You can make a predictable scheme for the next 20 years (i.e. fuel will raise about 4% per year,...) This gives the economy time to adopt. But please no exceptions.

When you want to know were some commit came from. For example you can make a seemingly unrelated change in a feature branch. And then later wonder why this change has been done. Of course you could hope to find the merge into master where t

git has 3+1 areas where a change can live: - working directory - staged - commited - (upstream) * hg has only 2+1 - working directory - commited - (upstream) * (*) both support something like stash but in hg i

I wonder how alfresco ends up with such a huge recommended default pool size of 275 [1]. Is this bad architecture on their part or are different principles at play? [1] https://docs.alfresco.com/5.0/tasks/postgresq

If you are running java instead of a c program the proc stacktrace shows you just the virtual machine state. You can still get a stacktrace of your java threads[1]. How about other languages? Python, ruby? [1] https://stackoverfl

Why don't you make it: const print = @import("std").print; pub fn main() void { print("Hello, world!\n"); } Why does it have to be more complex than warn? You admit the added complexity yourself by
