That's why local models are important. Of course they aren't alternative to the current frontier model, and as such you cannot easily jump from the later to the former, but they aren't that far behind either, for coding Qwen3

I have nom doubt that there are legit use cases for something like k8s at Google or other multi-billion companies. But if its use was confined to this use case, pretty much nobody would be using it (unless as a customer of the organization&

Because all HN needed was another piece of AI slop incorrectly quoting “what color is your function”… It's 2026 and I'm starting to hate the internet.

“Function coloring” is an imaginary issue in the first place. Or rather it's a real phenomenon, but absolutely not limited to async and people don't seem to care about it at all except when talking about async. Take Rust: you retu

I wish the “Function coloring” meme died. It made sense in the context of the original blog post (which was about callback hell, hence the “4. Red functions are more painful to call” section un the original blog post), but doesn't make

Yes, that's my point exactly: to maximize efficiency, you'd try catching this more abundant light, but plants do the opposite, chlorophyll catches other wavelength and reflect green (which is why plants appear green).

The more efficient a system is (due to specialization and removal of redundancy), the more fragile it becomes. That's why biological systems look so wasteful (chlorophyll reflecting the more abundant wavelength, etc.)

I suspect with that money you could get a full time customer support person for your business. Now think about it, what's creating more value to your customers: having your infra on Digital Ocean or having a better customer support?
