What was new, given that Puting has given his history lectures many times before that interview?

That's a very strange, view given that the history was mostly wrong. Putin is not a typical politician, he is an ex- intelligence service ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vladimir_Putin#KGB_career ) guy who got to

Nonsense, the second world war history is excellently researched and Putin tells you only his propaganda views, which are just false. The Soviet Union collaborated with Germany on the invasion of Poland. In fact the Soviet Union invaded Pol

I find it strange to think in terms of implementing a parser for lists as producing some kind of AST. The reader does not return an AST, but is a Lisp procedure which returns nested lists of atoms. As such it is independent of code and it j

by lispm 3y ago
Lisp compilers and interpreters are using s-expressions (-> nested lists of atoms) as source input. But these are not an AST. The compiler/interpreter has to find out what these lists & atoms actually mean and may build an AST.

Yes. Many Lisp implementations even can mix it in one executable. One, two or three modes of these: source interpreter, byte code interpreter, native code.

Typically a programming language (& family) is a bit more than token syntax. You could write any programming language in prefix notation. C is more than foo{bar}. A programming language has dimensions like: syntax, semantics, pragmatics

MDL had UNWIND in 1977 and Maclisp added UNWIND-PROTECT in 1978. I'll guess that Lisp Machine Lisp then got it, too. Common Lisp emerged 1981 onwards, largely based on the latter. In the Lisp Machine OS there is a concept called RESOUR
