You should not be downvoted for telling the truth about your experiences! I have witnessed the same things. Kids being held back a grade so they can excel in sports! It is so ridiculously self-serving and narcissistic that it is crazy to

I can understand why. When we first moved to our upper midwest state, the district we bought a house in was ranked like #2 in the state overall and has fallen considerably. I have watched with my own two eyes the decline in the past 20 ye

Doesn't every cell phone have a highly volatile, made in China battery in it as well? What if they started banning smartphones on flights! Oh the humanity!

I'm pretty sure the antichrist is that sports betting guy, Dave Portnoy? The good news is that he's low key, it's kind of a more casual antichrist this time around getting everyone addicted to gambling.

Not a fan of Palantir or Level3 (L3?) Systems myself--talk about companies ushering in a police state!

I love that the example is with LinkedIn, because I always want to turn off most of their useless crap! What we really need is a back-to-basics form of LinkedIn.

I'm fine with doctors making decent money, I'm not fine with MBA assholes making bank off of the bezzle. That's a huge difference--doctors add something to process, they are not vampires.

It's not just about "removing profit" it's about removing the MBA pyschopaths who flock to these "opportunities."

Having worked at UNH and also having them and later UMR (owned by UNH) and now being insured by a non-public company, I can tell you the difference is huge. UNH is for profit through and through, quarterly reports are all that matter, and

Hetnzer, lol. Reminds me of all those weird Chinese brands for nvme and sdd hard drive enclosures on Amazon--Amaloo, Ugreen, Fideco, Orico, and on and on. All trash.

But the basic chips like the ones that go into cars are the ones that were the most scarce--the low margin stuff was not being made. You're saying it's because of Nvidia? I'm not totally tracking here. The game console thin

I just find it so odd that the oh so environmentally conscious tech sector is now building out some of the most resource intensive facilities on the planet. It's like environmentalism was just a con.

I think doing away with cash is a terrible idea. That said, I'm using it less and less since 2020. Inflation is the real problem--we need a stable currency and make the small denominations valuable again. All this tracking and surve
