100% As long as you are using Debian, RHEL, Ubuntu, or CentOS implementing a basic minimum security baseline is as simple as following the CIS or DISA STIG guides for your OS. There are plenty of scripts on GitHub that do this (AUDIT THEM F

You must be using the wrong 'checklists' (they aren't checklists, they are implementation guidelines). CIS benchmarks and DISA STIGs provide concrete actions that lead to a more secure system. Sure some of them might not app

077 is a bit too restrictive for a lot of workloads. 027 is recommended by CIS for servers and 022 for desktop. If you are sure you can use 077 without stuff breaking, awesome, but that's not always the case. Typically on systems usin

It's really not weird, that's not how security works. What the application is doing is relevant to application security, but the whole point of securing the OS is to eliminate the necessity for "trusting" the application

It sounds like you might have a permissions issue. You can route issues created from Jira Service Desk to any board you want.

Normal for lots of companies even domestic. Remote companies still have to be able to receive mail to their registered agent (legal requirement).

It sounds like you’re conflating IDPs with other technology. Istio is a service mesh that can be used to bolt on a proxy that requires authz/authn, but Istio itself is not managing the users or groups. It communicates with whatever ID

When designing a tool, scalability should be a feature not a requirement. There isn't so much value in creating scalable tools these days as they exist in abundance. What is rarer and more useful are tools that are easy to use at small

They shot themselves in the foot majorly on this one. When you realize that one of your products isn’t being heavily used and is OSS, you don’t close source it, you keep it open! This shows that the value add of the paid product is actually

Announcing a major change like this in a PR screams disregard for your users. Are you sure this isn’t just a way for you to crack down on license abuse?

Same. This is amateurish math at best. Defining a new derivative operator that is mathematically equivalent to the normal derivative operator and then reformulating physics equations as some way to prevent human error is beyond absurd.

Due to the fact differential operators are linear and the nature of the accumulation of constants of integration it’s pretty easy to prove that the differential operator proposed is in fact equivalent to the standard derivative operator. So

This is the way! Introduce all the constants you need. Don’t redefine functions and operators for syntactic sugar.

If you mean units instead of dimensions I agree. There is a natural reason for pi occurring in physics that makes little sense to ignore. Treating it as something to be dealt with misses the forest for the trees. Radians are the naturally o

Is this really not an elaborate troll? Arguing that a literal mathematical equivalence (e^i x = e^2pi ix) that you then use to “redefine“ trig functions so you can reformulate physics to mitigate making errors dividing my a constant is comp

The level of ignorance many developers have these days about foundational technologies that power SaaS platforms is truly astounding. Hopefully there are still people around to build SaaS when the current vanguard retires.

More likely those people were somewhat junior. It makes no sense to interchange a vendor with a technology unless the name is literally the same. Isilon for instance was a brand where there main product was... Isilon clusters.
