Yeah this is how AT&T fiber forces you to pay for their router/WiFi combo box. The box contains an authentication certificate that is required for connecting to them. So frustrating

AT&T fiber also has a requirement to use their own router. You can treat it like a WAN and use your own equipment, but if you want to have your equipment directly connected to the Internet, you need to basically turn it into a zombie bo
