But that’s part of the value proposition of Go: that it’s a small(-ish) language. I like that it lacks magic found in many other languages. Though I concede that the “simplicity” sometimes comes at the expense of developer ergonomics

The demo at the top of the homepage ( https://reflect.net/ ) is a lot of fun. While I was watching, every time the puzzle got completed, people would shake their cursor in excitement, like saying, "yay we did it!!"

IIRC, part of the language proposal to make errors wrappable in Go’s stdlib included a stack trace. And indeed github.com/pkg/errors includes that. But it never made it into the stdlib implementation

FDWs still requires an instance of Postgres to be running. With implementing the Postgres wire protocol, you could theoretically use any Postgres driver to talk to a SQLite database with no client changes and no instance of Postgres

Ah yeah that’s what I figured. In some of the repos at work, I’ve noticed that some intermediate error messages are identical, which makes it hard to know which error has actually been used.

Is that a real stack trace, or just a trace of error message wrapping? I haven’t figured out how to extract a real error message using Go stdlib

MacOS traditionally used `\r` for line endings. Unix (and thus macOS 10+) uses `\n` and Windows `\r\n`. Github isn't properly recognizing the files have classic MacOS line endings
