You need to look up the definitions of "cannot" and "Chinese nationals". The first means you don't get a choice. The second is citizenship - not race, ethnicity, or language. How you misread that as choosing not to

I'm not beating around the bush. The story is funnier because of stereotypes. That's the function mentioning the group serves. Taking a joke overly seriously and then having it explained to you is also a stereotype. It's just

Your take on the setup for stereotypical situational humor about puritanical sensibilities and big expensive families invokes another stereotype about the puritanical sense of humor.

This is not a solution. You still have to look at (or listen to???) the screen. But now you also have to find and operate one of several identical input devices that are not colocated. This works for cheap oscilloscopes because you're

That wish is already granted https://wiki.freecadweb.org/Path_Workbench My thesis is that the bigger challenge is "economic", not technical.

Blender provides much of the value of its competitors. A purely CAD tool does not. You have to solve the other problems primarily, while also having CAD. Otherwise, it's like having a text editor when no programming languages exist. Wh

Nobody pays for usability. They pay for service contracts. Then it's the vendor's problem to keep that hunk of junk running.

Contributing to open source CAD would be economically stupid. Vendors know exactly how big the market is. Most sales are "conversions", not first-time buyers. Open source would be an exit ramp for their customers.

I speak from two types of experience - both a user of CAE and a developer of CAE. There's no money in CAD by itself, meaning just the drawing part. Drafting is a low-value activity often performed by low-value workers who don't wr

At least they're open about how they weighed their values. And they give you enough information to draw your own conclusions from your own values. Some people want to be told what's "best", and they've found a way t

To be fair, if you're not going to Google it, you're probably more of a popular media reader anyway. There are no pictures in the paper to look at. https://arxiv.org/abs/1904.07224

I see what you mean now. The unknown of if it will be successful. Not the existence of the intent. You wrote it, I just misunderstood it.

Can confirm from the plugin simulation side. Integrations and import/export are important. Drafting by itself is useless to many companies without facilitating the corresponding engineering work.

That's because the US military required it. Electronics and component reliability was so terrible that they started naming and shaming by publishing reports about exactly how each part was total crap. It showed industry that everyone e

There is a way, but it requires 7+16=23 sense wires on the input side. The MCU is acting as the multiplexer. Representing the information about the pressed key is more compact than physically sensing and discriminating which key was pressed

Is it not? Show me one counter-example. There are many parts of a control loop. An analog comparator is faster and lower power than an ADC + digital comparator, for example.

I think you have the power situation backwards. Analog still has not left power supplies. The dynamics are just too fast for low-power digital. So the solution for a long time has been mixed analog and digital. At higher power, there's

I didn't think I was splitting hairs. The data does not suggest what you say because the foundational assumptions stop being true the closer we get to the finish line. That's why you can't extrapolate the current trend all th

The SMD is 2€ through the big parts distributor where he can get all the other parts, and pay for shipping just once. But he wants DIP, which he said they don't have in stock. So now he pays extra for DIP, extra for rarity, and again f
