I'd suggest starting with the standard library instead. All other libraries come and go, standard will be there as long as Go is alive.

C++ comes to mind. Probably the worst language that's used significantly in the industry in terms of tooling and dependency management. The committee is trying to fix this, but almost no one can update to the newer standards.

I believe the performance reported in their paper is circumstantial. It’s not that much faster when I tried it, and not worth the horrible macro syntax.

I consider Mason integral to Lazy, some plugins require additional tools that should not be bundled like linters and formatters, and Mason is the best way to manage these.

Yep. I always feel weird that developers cannot get that the only constant thing in software is change. Codebase like this is not gonna last long and sooner or later the project is gonna kick the bucket.
